Your Role

As a Systems Engineer within Product Sustainment at Saab Surveillance, Avionics, you work with the analysis, investigation, and resolution of technical issues on products in operation with the customer. You lead and conduct technical investigations, identify root causes, and contribute to ensuring that our products remain operational, supportable, and deliverable.

The role is broad and varied, combining deep technical problem-solving with cross-functional collaboration. You become a key link and work closely with the product division, production, quality, and customer support.

You will become part of a newly formed unit, Product Sustainment, consisting of five systems engineers. The group works with both short-term problem-solving and long-term improvements, where your analyses contribute directly to product quality, delivery capability, and customer satisfaction.

Your Profile

We believe you have a university or civil engineering degree in fields such as electronics, embedded software, or equivalent work experience. The role suits both those at the beginning of their career and those with extensive experience who wish to develop within complex technical systems.

You have an interest in technical problem-solving and feel confident working with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and systems thinking. You thrive in cross-functional collaborations and appreciate working closely with both technology and business operations.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and driven. You take responsibility for your work, have a proactive approach, and are comfortable leading technical activities forward together with others.

You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Experience from the aviation, defense industry, or other regulated sectors is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
